DVSA Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness 2020 Updates
On 15 December, the latest edition of the DVSA guide to keeping commercial goods and public service vehicles roadworthy was published.
There have only been a few changes since its first online edition in April 2014. In November 2018, the document was updated with new guidance on how tyres should be monitored (depending on their age). The daily walkaround check diagrams were also revised.
This month there were a couple of updates worth highlighting:
9 December 2020
Section 5.2 (tyre management system) has been updated in preparation for the ban on tyres 10 years or older being used on the front wheels of lorries, buses and coaches, and all wheels of minibuses. Read more about the tyre ban update here.

The contact details for Logistics UK (logistics.org.uk) the new name for the Freight Transport Association (FTA) were updated.
