Driver given a warning at Driver Conduct Hearing following a conviction for Leaving the Scene of a Collision with Infrastructure and Totting Disqualification.
A driver appeared before a Deputy Traffic Commissioner in May 2026 to determine whether he remained fit to hold an HGV licence and whether his vocational entitlements should be restored following a period of disqualification.
Recognising the seriousness of the matter, the driver’s employer instructed C E Transport Law to provide representation at the hearing.
A comprehensive bundle of evidence and submissions was prepared and lodged in advance, setting out the full circumstances surrounding the offence and addressing the driver’s continued fitness to retain his vocational licence.
Chris Harrington represented the driver before the Deputy Traffic Commissioner and successfully persuaded the Tribunal that the driver remained fit to hold a HGV licence. The Commissioner confirmed that the vocational entitlements be reinstated upon expiry of the disqualification period, with the driver receiving a formal warning to mark the seriousness of the collision.
